Our apprenticeship program offers structured on-the-job training in every aspect of sign making, empowering our youngest team members to learn from the best sign makers and installers in the industry.

Young apprentices plunge into the exciting world of sign making with their first six-month placement in the manufacturing department. They engage hands-on with the team in the workshop, mastering the full manufacturing process—from understanding materials to folding and strengthening finished sign trays. They become skilled in handling cut sheet materials from our CNC machine and soldering the electronics of our illuminated signage, gaining invaluable insights into every element of production.

Following this, they immerse themselves in print production and vinyl preparation, developing essential skills such as laminating fully printed flat panels from our flatbed printer, weeding self-adhesive vinyls, and preparing them for application and packaging.

In the wrap department, apprentices learn the importance of patience and precision. They tackle live client jobs, first mastering our detailed cleaning process—crucial for the longevity of wraps—before progressing to vinyl application. They work with a variety of vinyls used on vehicles, each one offering unique challenges and opportunities for growth.

The journey culminates in signage installation, where apprentices find themselves in a dynamic environment demanding initiative and adaptability. As they install a diverse range of signage, they draw upon their experiences from other departments, absorbing the wisdom of our seasoned fitters.

At the end of year two, apprentices are encouraged to choose their focus for the remaining two years, allowing us to pair them with mentors who will help refine their skills and propel their professional development.

Most team members proudly identify as either “vinyl specialists,” who focus on print and vinyl preparation, vehicle wraps, and graphics installations, or “signage specialists,” who build and install large folded illuminated sign trays. Nevertheless, every individual is fully trained in all aspects of signage.
