What is a blackboard?

A blackboard is a hard flat surface coated in a dark paint or laminate suitable for the application and removal of dry chalk or chalk paint. These are designed to be wiped clean and reused. Chalkboard vinyl can be used cut to shape and as an overlay on a larger sign to give a small section of wipeable writing area.
