From the initial enquiry to design visuals to print file creation, our Design team works incredibly hard to take each of their clients swiftly from A to B to create show stopping signage and graphics for their brands.
This is achieved when the designer and client work closely and communicate clearly with each other throughout the process.
We understand that every so often deadlines can be tight so here are a few things anyone looking for shop signage or vehicle graphics can supply us with to help make the process as smooth and efficient as possible.
Artwork
Artwork file types can be tricky to navigate when you don’t work with them every day. We always ask that logo and design files are sent to us as editable PDF, EPS or Adobe Illustrator files as this allows us to manipulate the graphics as needed and will give you a far higher resolution end product. For any Adobe files, please ensure that all fonts and images are embedded to avoid details changing or losing quality on our end.
Images created using Artificial Intelligence are brilliant when creating an initial concept for a sign/vehicle but cannot be used for print. It still takes a designer to recreate the artwork as close as they possibly can and for them to also check if every element is achievable while visuals are being made.
If any signage requires the use of photos in some parts, they must be supplied in the highest quality possible (300dpi or higher) to get the best results. It’s important to note that photos can only be scaled up so far before they become pixelated.
Additional information required when enquiring about signage:
· A clear description of the type of signage you’re looking to create.
· Photos of the store/site and the location of where you’d like each sign to be installed (if required).
· The site address.
· Artwork files in an editable PDF, EPS or Adobe Illustrator format. Brand Guideline packages are essential to ensure we use the correct design elements and colours on our end.
· If no artwork can be supplied, we ask that you send over some photos of existing signage you like the look of so we can take inspiration from them and advise on what will work best at your site.
Site surveys will always be carried out by one of our Project Managers to gather more information about the location and for us to assess what signage is achievable.
Additional information required when enquiring about vehicles:
· Your business logo or an artwork file in an editable PDF, EPS or Adobe Illustrator format.
· Photos of any design ideas you like the look of or a detailed description of what graphics/information you’d like placed where if artwork cannot be supplied.
· All contact and service information you’d like featured on the vehicle (if any).
· Head-on photos of the vehicle(s) from all 4 sides. We ask for these for multiple reasons;
– Our design team works with 2D vehicle templates and the more detail we can see, the more accurate of a template we’ll find.
– Photos confirm if door handles, wing mirrors and bumpers are colour coded or not – which will alter the price of the job/effect how graphics can be presented on the vehicle.
– This also gives us an idea of the current condition of the paintwork to help us advise on if a panel can or can’t be wrapped – unfortunately, if the paintwork is damaged, metal is rusting, lacquer is peeling or there are dents in the surface, we cannot apply any vinyl as it will fail.
– For any client looking to get graphics or a wrap applied to two or more of the same vehicle type (brand/body/year) we still require 4 photos of EACH vehicle so we can check that the paintwork is in a suitable condition and if there are any differences in the colour coded sections.
All of the above is essential information for our team to provide the best quality service and products for our customers for all signage and graphic types. The more information we can be provided with within the early enquiry/design stage, the quicker we can start the process to completion/install.
