Our recent work at Edinburgh’s prestigious Quartermile Three building showcased all of these attributes, and more.
The Project Brief
We were commissioned to install frosted vinyl on 84 large glass windows, each measuring an impressive 4m x 1.5m. The goal was to provide privacy while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic throughout the building.
What initially appeared to be a straightforward installation quickly revealed several challenges due to the building’s layout and glazing requirements.
The Challenge
Many of the windows were positioned directly in front of partition walls, leaving little to no access for internal vinyl application once the glass was fitted. To ensure a flawless, bubble-free finish, all panels needed to be frosted before installation.
Adding to the complexity, some existing glass panes had to be removed, frosted, and reinstalled. The building required an upgrade to its glazing to comply with new standards, meaning all panels had to be replaced. To deliver this efficiently, Specialized Signs operated both daytime and nighttime teams, as several windows could only be replaced outside standard working hours.

To complete the project safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard, our team:
